NAME
tim -- authetication server
SYNOPSIS
tim [-v] [-d] [-m module] [-p dir] tim -init [-auto] tag ... tim -auto tag ... tim -noauto tag ... tim -c tag ...
DESCRIPTION
tim is an authentication server used for authenticating some legacy clients using account information stored in NetInfo. It is configured during Mac OS X Server set-up, and should not normally be run from the command line. The -v option causes tim to produce verbose logging information. The -d option causes tim to run in a debugging mode. It will stay attached to the terminal and print verbose log messages to the terminal. The -m module option causes tim to load only the named module. The -p dir option will override the default module directory path. The -init option may be used to initialize a NetInfo domain, or a set of domains if several tag arguments are supplied. tim will prompt for a master password for each tag. Each NetInfo tag supplied as an argument must be served as master on the local system. The -auto option will enable autostart for the given tag(s). The -noauto option will disable autostart for the given tag(s). If autostart is enabled, tim will start serving all enabled tags on each reboot of the system. If autostart is not enabled for a tag, it may be started using the timutil program. The -c option may be used to change the master password for a tag.
